Statement of Faith

The church fundamentally believes in:

The Bible – that the book is wholly inspired by God. Literally, it is God’s holy Word. (2 Timothy 3:15,16)

The Trinity – that there is one true God (Deuteronomy 6:4) consisting of three interrelated divine persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22)

The Deity of Jesus Christ – that He is the second divine person of the Trinity. (John 1:1; 10:30; Revelation 1:8; Romans 9:5; Philippians 2:5-8; Hebrews 1:3, 8; 1 John 5:20; Colossians 1:16-17)

The Deity of the Holy Spirit – that He is the third divine person of the Trinity. (Acts 5:3-4)

The Virgin birth of Jesus Christ – that He was born of a virgin by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 1:23)

Salvation by Grace – that salvation is God’s grace through one’s faith in Jesus Christ, and not by works. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5; Romans 11:6)

The Fall of Man – that just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all have sinned. (Romans 3:10, 23)

The New Birth – that it is necessary for a man to be born again to enter into the kingdom of God. (John 3:3-5)

The Water Baptism – that all those who believe in Jesus Christ should follow Him in the believer’s baptism, i.e. by immersion. (Matthew 29:19)

The Baptism in the Holy Spirit – that it is necessary in the believer’s empowerment and sanctification. (Acts 1:8; 2:4, 17)

The Lord’s Supper – that such practice is in obedience to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ to commemorate His sacrificial death and man’s redemption at the cross of Calvary. (1 Corinthians 11:26)

The Gifts of the Holy Spirit – that these gifts given to us by God, through the Holy Spirit, for our empowerment in the service for Christ. (1 Corinthians 11:4-11)

The Five-fold Ministry – these are likewise gifts of Christ to His body – for the equipping of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of faith and the knowledge of the Sons of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. (Ephesians 4:11-13)

The Prophets of God – and because the Lord Jesus Christ is the same today, yesterday, and forever, He can still speak to us today through the Ministry of the Prophets. (Hebrews 13:8; Ephesians 4:11; 1 Corinthians 14)

The Signs and Wonders & Miracles of God – that they are still valid and operating up to this day as they were in the ancient past. They are also signs that follow every true believer of the gospel of Jesus Christ. (Mark 16:15-20; John 14:12)

The Authority of the Believers – that all believers had been given the commission to preach the gospel and to have authority over the works of Satan and his demons. (Luke 10:19; John 14:12; Mark 16:17; Matthew 28:19)

Angels – that they are God’s holy messengers from heaven sent by Him to minister to all the saints and heirs to His kingdom. (Hebrews 1:14)

The Rapture – that God, in His appointed time, will snatch up His church before the great tribulation period. (1 Thessalonians 4:17; 5:9-11)

The Blessed Hope – that Christ will come for the second time to take away His bride (the church) from this present wicked world. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Titus 2:13; Romans 8:23)
